I have had these on a drop left table in the kitchen that is used as a general work surface for every thing from eating, to sewing, to other crafts activities.
Seems strong and easy to use for last 18 it should work fine. I replaced these on a table saw extension because there is no lateral support Not a problem if there is no lateral stress but if there is no other support you will have a wobbly properly installed, there is no load on the leg bracket. The main issue would be if the leg is pushed from the front or the side.
The tab breaks way too easily - when someone erroneously attempts to open the leg without first moving the release lever - and it doesn't take much force to break off the tab.
So far I have not seen any play or sloppiness in the bracket. I built an octagonal oak poker table measuring 60" across.
Our table was 36 X 48 and 21" tall and it had a little movement side to side. I replaced mine with a much heavier attachment and a folding arm that attaches lower on the leg. I feel the table legs are sturdy enough to hold the table but there is some side to side wobble I am not real happy about.

I do not fear a collapse of the legs but the table has more side to side movement than I care for.I would suggest keeping the weight not much heavier the an average card table for these leg brackets.
